Nickelodeon vs. Disney Channel

So, now that it's summer, I have time to catch up on my TV, show I love and shows I watch because there on, and I'm board. Today, I really want to concentrate on the Nickelodeon vs. Disney Channel. In the past, Nickelodeon and Disney Channel were even, both had great quality shows, that where enjoyable, and legitimately funny, unfortunately that was 10+ years ago. After Hannah Montana, Nickelodeon, was easily the best channel, though iCarly and Victorious, weren't much better. Then Nickelodeon though of the concept "The 90's are All That" and they just burst ahead. Genius, bringing 90's shows back on to TV at nights, wonderful concept. I honestly wish Disney Channel would do the same. Though in this coming fall, I can see Disney Channel taking the top spot easily. First reason why, is because they have some great shows coming up, such as "Girl Meets World" and to a much lesser extent "Liv and Maddie". Quality TV shows, with relationships, and better quality, not great by any means, humor. Mean while in the Nickelodeon TV studio's, that spurt out "The Haunted Hathaway's". Which brings me to my second reason, Nickelodeon just produced one of the worst TV shows in History. I could tell it was bad from the Promo's, a family that moves into a haunted house? really? Not only is the concept stupid, that acting is terrible. The youngest daughter has no character development what so ever. Her parents just went through a horrid divorce, and she's just SO excited about living in a house with ghosts. She just thinks anything they do, is so cool. I bet if I asked the actress to tell me about her character she would say, "I love anything that the ghosts do". Most annoying character on TV right now. The youngest ghost boy is only filled with cheap laughs with jokes that are overdone and tired. The rest of the characters are better, but not much. It was actually painful to watch the pilot episode. PAINFUL. I actually couldn't get through the whole thing, I stopped it, then caught the end on a latter date. It was that bad. Other new Nickelodeon TV shows in the line up, don't look much better. and that's the reason that in the next year Disney Channel, will be better then Nickelodeon. oh how the mighty have fallen.

Love and Television

I haven't posted in a while, I've been super busy with school and a show I'm in, though with only 3 views and no followers I guess it really doesn't matter. I want to just post about something that I'm glad is in almost every TV shows. I honestly love love, I'm a hopeless romantic so seeing amazing romantic character arcsin TV shows, is very enjoyable to me. I just watched the most resent episode of "The Middle", I really enjoy some aspects of this show. In the episode Sue (My favorite character) is on the clean up comity for the valentines day dance, she is trying to keep positive about being dateless on valentines day, when her x-boyfriend Matt, wants to get back together with her, after he broke up with his girlfriend he left Sue for. So, of course she's excited to not be a looser at the dance, so being the excitable Sue we all know and love she's putting all this work into getting ready, and happens to miss a phone call from Matt, saying that he got back together with his old girlfriend, and now she has no date. Axel and his friends hear the message left on the machine, because there ego lazy to get the phone, and no one wants to tell her. Basically, one of Axels friends, tells her, ends up going to the dance with her, with the audience thinking it's out of pity. That friend ends up really liking Sue, and we end with them sharing a kiss over a trash can. This made me happy, to see Sue with someone, and I just love real romance in TV.

I happen to see the first minute and a half of Family Guy, and it made SO HAPPY. They made it a spoof of "Valentines Day" one of my favorite Rom Com's, and with Black Eyed Peas song "I got a feeling" playing in the very opening, I couldn't help but burst with excitement. I will be watching it tomorrow, when it's on regular Hulu.

I also want to talk about some my own stuff, I'm going to university right now studying Film and Television, hoping to concentrate on the television production and Script/ television show writing aspect of it, hoping to one day write my own TV shows. I honestly have to say one big aspect in every TV show I make will be the two girl/boy best friends falling in love, with the fuel from there relationship really making some season finale's epic. One TV show I've been sort of watching from the beginning is Austin and Ally, which is now, in the middle of there second season getting them together. I really like this, I wish it was more "Large Romantic Moment's" like a first kiss that happens spontaneously, but they don't really know what it means. It's been very slowly progressing, but I'm glad it's finally happening.

Drop Dead Diva Review

An amazing TV show just came into my view once I started using my sisters Netflix. I discovered a spectacularly written, produced, and acted TV show, rare to find these day's. It just finished it's fourth season and has been renewed for a fifth. This TV show I'm referring to is "Drop Dead Diva". I discovered this show about four or five day's ago, and I'm now finishing up the third season, they are only 13 episode seasons, the minimum, but getting through 36 episodes in five day's does say something about the amazing quality. something I particularly enjoy is the constant continuation of the series. Were one episode ends, the next begins, and with none of those annoying "last time on Drop Dead Diva" beginning sequences. It's a refreshing show that brings back a classic sit com feel, with a modern twist. I suggest this to any mothers and teenage daughters looking for a new TV show to bond over. This show promotes good morals and has enough of the romantic drama to keep you on the edge of your seats. Some of the content is a little mature and there is a bit of language here and there, but I'd say when ever you allow your child to watch PG-13 content is when they would be mature enough to handle the content of this show. thanks for reading

this blog is all about television. I will fill you all in with new shows, finales, specials, old shows, everything. I love TV. I've loved it since I started, and I watch a lot of it. but I learn from it as well. HEY PARENTS, TELEVISION SHOWS FOR ENTERTAINMENT CAN BE EDUCATIONAL. sure a lot of it is the same morals they've been instilling science "wonder years" or before but good none the less. This post is about new shows for the fall line up. The first show I want to talk about is a show on "Disney Channel" premiering the 30th of September called Jessie. this show is starring recently discovered actress from Suite Life on Deck, Debbie Ryan. Debbie plays an 18 year old who moves to NYC and gets plucked off the street by a little girl and becomes the new nanny for a wealthy family from witch the little girl, Skai Jackson, belongs too, of course. This show also includes Diary of a Wimpy Kid actor Karan Brar as one of the four kids that debbie's character Jessie will be nannying for. the children finnish with Cameron Boyce (Grown Ups) and Payton List (Diary of a wimpy kid). the cast includes recognizable faces witch will bring in a large audience and I predict could be as big as Disney Channels Wizards of Waverly Place. another show to look out for is Pan am, it looks really good. Also, Glee season 3 starts Tuesday September 20th. well thats all I have time for. hope you enjoyed.
